UP600				Added the Function Key Menu editor for the UP600.  The Function Menu key allows up to 15 function keys to be assigned to a menu button.  When the menu button is pressed on the keyboard, those keys appear and can be selected from the list.  This is useful for programs that do not have a lot of free space available on the keyboard.
UP600				Added the Macro Key editor for the UP600.  This editor allows for multiple auto keys to be run from one or more of the register's operational modes (Reg, MGR, PGM2, etc.)
A750E, A770, UP3300, UP3301				Added an editor for the Employee Report options.  This editor is used in conjunction with the Employee Timekeeping to determine the pay cycle and if employee break time is paid or not

Correction

ALL				Corrects an issue that was occurring on some Windows XP computers where SKAN_Talk fails to load properly when there is another application using the TCP/IP port that SKAN_Talk uses.  Under this condition, SKAN_Talk now opens another port.  Under this same condition SKAN_Talk would also occasionally not be able to read the license information and say that the ECR model that was selected for the store was not valid.  This is also corrected.
ALL				Corrected an error in the Dealer Work Station version with the Presto Programmer.  After the tax rate was imported then sent to the register, the tax rate was sent but did not take effect because the tax rate was still set for inhibited,  This error did not occur if a tax rate other than 0.00 was previously set and it was only updating that tax rate value.
A420, A470, A550, A570, A750E, A770, UP3300, UP3301, UP600				Corrected an error when not all of the data that is necessary to open the virtual keyboard is available, it gives a message that there was an error reading from the table with insufficient data.  Previously this was giving a run time error.  This error generally only happened on the Dealer Work Station version of the package where the model register for the store was changed after the store had been initialized and the data was no longer correct for the new model, specifically when changing the model to a UP3300 or UP3301
A750E, A770, UP3300, UP3301, UP600				Corrects an error in the Condiment editor when trying to display a PLU where the description is blank.
UP3300, UP3301				Corrected the data conversion when exporting the Auto Key file.  The data which tells the register which screen the auto key runs on was not being exported, so all the Auto Keys were being defaulted back to the HOME menu.  For those Auto Keys that were not originally programmed on the HOME menu, those keys stopped functioning.
UP600, A770				Corrected an error in the Virtual Keyboard when the user changed the Keyboard text for a combo meal, it was saving it as the Description text of the combo meal.
UP600				Corrected an error where the department editor would not allow Hash departments to be set even when the service parameter settings for 906B are set to allow it.
UP600				Corrected an error when opening the Dynamic UPC editor on the UP600.  This problem was introduced in the 9/10/03 release.
A420, A450, UP600				Corrected an error when exporting a graphic logo file to the register.  The lines of the graphic were exported in the wrong order and the graphic became corrupted .  This problem was introduced in the 9/10/03 release.
A750E, A770, UP3300, UP3301, UP600				Corrected the data conversion for the Kitchen Printer Preset and the Chit (Bill) Printer Presets.  The Terminal Number field was not being imported.
UP600				Corrected an error with adjusting the decimal place values for the quantity information on Coupons, Refunds and Waste sales on the Dynamic UPC if the register allows fractional Quantities to be sold (Service Bit 906 D)   The quantity totals were showing up as 1/1000th of the correct value (i.e. Refund Quantity = 5 was being reported as .005) Neither Dynamic UPC's or Fractional Quantities are allowed on most machines and this would generally not present a problem for most users.
A770, UP3300, UP3301, UP600				Corrected an error on the Item By Department report where if an item had sales totals for refund totals, Waste sales or Combo meal sales but did not have any base sales for the item, the item did not show up in the report.
UP600				Corrected the data conversion for the Macro Key file.  In certain conditions, the file was being exported from SKAN_Talk to the register in an incorrect format

UP600				Added the Link Job # field into the data conversion for the Capture Key when data is exported from SKAN_Talk and sent to the register.  This file is not used by most users and would not generally present a problem.
ALL				Correct the text for the 910 D service bit.  The options for that parameter were labeled backwards.
UP600				Corrected an error where the text for the Kitchen Printer Message editor was not being imported during the store initialization

ALL				Corrected an error in the case where SKAN_Talk reports that "there was an error reading from the serial port".  This error was only being reported as a warning so polling was incorrectly allowed to continue.
A420, A470, A550, A570, A750E, A770, UP3300, UP3301, UP700				Adds the ability in the virtual keyboard to click on a color from the palette and have the color preference remembered for every key that was clicked on.  Previously every key would have to be colored by dragging and dropping from the palette.  This greatly speeds up the time it takes to color a keyboard.
A570				Corrects an error that occurred when building the list of changes (Transmit changes job) to be sent to the register when multiple stores are polled that use a combination of both stand-alone and IRC configurations.  The stand-alone store would have a command to broadcast the change to a satellite (Slave) register which did not exist and would cause the job to give an error
ALL				Corrected an error in the PLU reports where the description from anything other than Price Level 1 was not displayed.
A570				Corrected that the Z Counters were not getting posted on the A570s when the registers were set as standalone.  This was causing data to be omitted on the Grand Total report in the periodic reports section
A420, A450, A470				Added a routine into the end of day polling jobs that adjusts the decimal place value for the Quantity of the PLU sales and Department sales based on how the scale weight options are configured at the register (906D service parameter)  Under certain circumstances the Quantity totals were incorrectly multiplied by 1000
UP600, UP3301				Corrected an error that occurred when communicating via TCP/IP to a system where more than one register was defined in SKAN_Talk.  No errors would be reported but the store initialization would fail due to an error in the job script.  This problem was introduced in the 6/16/03 release version
UP600				Corrects an error that occurs on some systems when polling by individual terminal via RS-232 (serial) Under a certain circumstance, the same data from the master was duplicated as the data from the satellite machines.  This occurred from the Transaction and Department report.
UP600				Corrected a condition in the consolidated Grand Totals where the totals that the register reported were wrong. The totals from the 2nd register in the system were doubled in this condition.
UP600				Corrected an error with editing the CVM attribute in the PLU and Dynamic UPC editors.  The number was not converted properly and an incorrect number was sent to the register.

A420, A450, A470, A550, A570				When changes were made to the Logo Text file, the changes were not automatically sent as part of the "Send Changes" Function.  The file had to be sent manually from the jobs menu
A550				Corrected an error when building the Transmit Changes job for the keyboard files.  Changes to the Direct Key file in the virtual keyboard were saved properly, but they were not automatically sent with the transmit changes job.  Sending the direct key file manually resolved this.

ALL				Changed the error messages that SKAN_Talk shows in the log file when a communication command fails.  The specific message of the Sharp error is reported rather than displaying "A non zero status was returned"

UP3300				Changed the PLU editor so that it will also support two price and description levels instead of just 1 or 5 levels.  This allows support for the UP3300 3F version EPROM
ALL				Changed the way the Recover From Failed Polling screen works.  Now any time there is a failed polling logged, the Failed Polling Recovery screen will continue to open after every polling until the problem is addressed.  Previously it opened only on the polling cycle that the error occurred on.  If left unattended polling for several days, failed pollings may not have been detected by the end users.
ALL				Changed the Store Open and Store Close icons to run the function only for the selected store rather than globally for all active stores.  Also included a message confirmation before the commands are run.
A420				Changes the Initialization process on the A420 when the register is connected via modem.  Previously the program data was collected on a 2 pass method.  This was modified so that after the first time the data has been collected and future initializations will be done on a single pass.
ALL				Changed the Log screen so that the screen is resizable.  Also made it so that single clicking in the column header maximizes the width of the field so it is easier to read.
A420				Increased  the amount of time that SKAN_Talk waits when performing the Z commands during polling.   This is most beneficial when polling via a modem

UP3300, UP3301				Corrected an issue when editing function keys in the virtual keyboard.  Under a very limited set of conditions, the data is not saved properly and when the data is sent to the register, it makes the register inoperable.  This is viewed as an important update for users of the UP3300 and UP3301 that are authorized for the virtual keyboard.
UP600				Corrected an issue with the PLU daily sales data not posting items into the history table properly when the item has only Refund or Waste totals associated with the PLU

UP600, A570, A450				Corrects an error that occurred in the UPC editor when the last modified field in the database in not in the standard mm/yy date format.  The register occasionally stores the data in a yy/mm date format.
UP3300, UP3301				Corrected a problem where the virtual keyboard would not save all changes made while editing the keyboard if the store.  This only occurred if the UP3300 or UP3301 store was not set up as store 1.
A420, A450, UP600				Corrected a problem with the Propagate Program Changes function when the Graphic Logo is propagated.  Occasionally, the graphic would not be saved properly to the other stores.
ALL				Corrects a problem in the transmit changes job where update that are made to the Department or Location Preset file are sent properly but the Modified" flag is the database does not get reset.   However, sending the Department or Location Preset file from the jobs menu does properly reset the flag.  This problem was introduced in the 3/28/03 build.

UP600, UP3301				Corrects an error that was occurring when attempting to send the complete RAM image of very large program (approx. 5 meg) back to the register.  A timeout was occurring while SKAN_Talk was processing the file in memory and the file would not successfully send.  This only occurred on registers with very large PLU or UPC files allocated (approx. 10,000)
ALL				Corrected a problem with the Presto Programmer when it creates new Department records while importing the program data from a worksheet. It caused the virtual keyboard to give a run time error because the Department table didn't have all the data fields necessary to show the instant info data.   (This was previously resolved by sending the department file to the register and then getting it from the register)
ALL				Corrected a problem in the Auto Key editor where a run time error was generated when an unknown function key appears in the auto key sequence.  This seems to only occur on the Dealer Work Station version when the model register for the store had been changed to a different model without deleting the previous model's data
UP3300/UP3301				Corrected an error when loading the virtual keyboard after creating a PLU Range in the PLU editor.   The default Key Color fields were not being assigned in the database when creating PLUs in a range.
UP600				Corrected the data conversion for the Preset1 (Optional Register Programming) file.  The Price Change allowed in Register Mode fields was changing the UPC Price Level Shift allowed in Register Mode field
ALL				Corrected an error in the Service Parameter editor where the 925B bit had a NOT USED value that when set changed the value to 2 instead of 0
ALL				Corrects an error that occurs when opening the department or service parameter editors after SKAN_Talk is updated and the service parameter file is not communicated from the register as is specified in the update document.  The error occurs when attempting to check the status of various service parameters to see which options are valid for the editor.
A550				Corrected a problem opening the Service Parameter editor on the A550.  The 927,928 and 929 service bits needed to be defined even though they are not used.
UP600				Corrected the data conversion for the Current Z Counter file. The GLU counter was being reported as the PLU counter
ALL				Corrects a minor problem where the text boxes only allows users to fill data until the box is full rather than allowing the maximum value that is defined by SKAN_Talk.  This problem appears to only occur on computers that have modified the Appearance settings for the Display properties to a larger than default font size.

UP600				Changed the functionality when adding new UPC's.  It automatically determines what the UPC type is rather that requiring the user to select the type.
ALL				When the model type is changed for an existing store, SKAN_Talk deletes the files for the virtual keyboard.  This was causing an error when loading the keyboard editor on the Dealer Work Station version when the model for a store was changed rather than adding a new store.
ALL				Changes the Presto programmer so that the option to open it appears on the Programming Menu drop down

A570				Corrected an error on the A570 when importing the Kitchen Printer preset file.  It was missing 2 fields in the database necessary to import the file.  If this file is not imported, SKAN_Talk will disallow making changes for sending items to the kitchen printer in the PLU and department editors.

UP3300				Corrected a problem on the PLU / UPC reports when multiple price levels are allocated on the register but only one description level, the description would show up blank for any items that were not price level 1 items

ALL				Enhanced the terminal report so that it is no longer mandatory that all department names and numbers must be identical across all stores.  Department totals are now grouped by their by department number and department name an not just their department numbers.
ALL				Changed all of the PLU and UPC reports so that if the same PLU or UPC number has a different description in a another store, the totals are summed sum separately when running consolidated report totals
ALL				Changed the UPC and PLU Item by department reports to take into account the Refund sales, Waste sales, Combo meal sales and Coupon PLU sales when calculating the percentage of sales by department.  The overall sales totals were correct, but the percentage of the individual department sales we being compared to only the base sales and not the Refund, Waste or Combo meal sales.
ALL				Changed the way that the transaction sales data is posted for the A470 so that the same set of reports are compatible with all other models of cash registers supported by SKAN_Talk.
