UP3301		Corrects an error when sending down a PLU file under TCP/IP. Every 25th PLU would not be sent correctly because the register's buffer was being overrun, but it was not reporting an error. This problem did not occur when sending the file via RS-232 communications


ALL		Corrected a potential problem where if a failed polling occurred when the polling was launched with the automatic polling scheduler and the resulting error screen was left open at the time the next polling was scheduled to occur under certain conditions the polling did not automatically occur.


UP600		Corrected the query that posts the TLOG data to the history table so that the UPC description is included when running the TLOG report


A570, UP600		Corrected an error when creating a new customer when the customer number is greater than 5 digits. The default name that it attempted to create was greater than the 16 character register limitation for the Name field.

Corrects an error that occurs when changing and saving PLU Menu description through the virtual
keyboard. This causes the PLUs to be re-written to the database in an incorrect format. In SKAN_Talk
the menu functions normally, but when the update is sent to the register, the PLUs assigned to the
menu are zero filled to the right instead of the left. (PLU 926 would be sent as 926000 instead of
000926)

Corrected an error in the stock field in the Ingredient editor and the Quantity field in the Recipe editor.
SKAN_Talk was not accounting for the shifting of the decimal place on registers that support entry of
fractional quantities (Service Parameter 906D), As a result, it was possible to send data to the register
where the decimal place was improperly shifted for the stock levels.

For stores that have more than 1 register connected communicating via a multi-drop cable, the Send
Changes function did not work properly for the 2nd and 3rd registers. SKAN_Talk was not properly
receiving the Files Allocation information into the database after the store initialization and the output
files could not properly be created.

A condition existed for stores that have the PLU file allocated with multiple price levels. After opening
the Link PLU editor or the Group Price editor from within the PLU editor, after the changes are made
and secondary editor is closed, only Price Level 1 can be edited until the PLU editor is closed and
re-opened. Price levels 2-6 were incorrectly being disabled.

UP600

Modified the TLOG report so that the Quantity totals that are captured for the Transaction Report within
the TLOG report are displayed correctly. Under certain conditions, the totals were displayed as 1/1000
of the actual quantities (This occurred if the Service Parameter 906D was set to allow fractional
quantities)

Models		Revision

ALL		Corrected an error in the Menu Mix Analysis by PLU report where if the actual costs for any department is 0 that there is sales data for, the reports would generate a "Division by Zero" error and not display the report. This error should only happen if the theoretical costs for all items within the department are not set. This would generally only occur during the initial setup.


ALL		When updating an item in the Function Preset editor, a piece of debug code was accidentally left in which causes it to show the SQL command that was issued to generate the update. The values were correctly saved, but the code should not have been displayed. This code was removed.


A750E, A770, A771, UP3300, UP3301		The PLU Hourly Group Flash Report was inadvertently removed during maintenance on the previous software release and has not been added back in.


A420U, A530		Under certain conditions, the Last Purchased date provided by the register could cause the stock editor to generate an overflow error. This was corrected and the editor now displays the date correctly in the MM/DD/YY format.


A410, A410U		Corrects an error when opening the keyboard editor for the models with a raised keyboard (A410, A410U). The keyboard editor open with the template for the flat keyboard (A420, A420U) instead and the keyboard would appear scrambled.


A750E		Corrects an error that causes the Hourly Flash Report not to be displayed.

A520		Corrected an error when opening the keyboard on the A520. It was opening on the keyboard for the A530 with the flat keyboard instead of a raised keyboard.


ALL		Corrected an error in the PLU Stock editor when there is approximately 3000 PLUs or UPCs. A buffer overrun occurred and the program exited.


UP3300, UP3301		Corrected an error in the Virtual Keyboard when changing the text of a PLU Menu. The value would be entered and save properly, but when exiting the keyboard an error would occur


UP600		Corrects a problem in the customer file when creating a new customer and changing the default customer number that SKAN_Talk provides. In this case, the Customer Sales file does not properly get indexed and at the register, the customer shows that it has been created, but entering the customer number causes an "No Record" message to be displayed


ALL Standalone Models		Corrected an error in the Grand Total report when there is 2 or more registers in the store and the polling is done by terminal. Each register's grand totals show up twice.

Corrected an Error when importing the Dynamic UPC file into the skantalk database. The database
field that deals was the Last Modified Date was set incorrectly and could cause an error under certain
circumstances.

Corrected an error in the posting of the Customer Sales History where if the same transaction number
occurs on 2 or more of the registers in a single day and one of those transactions was for a customer

file.

Corrected an error in the command that is sent to collect the PLU stock from the PLU stock editor. (The
command that was in the end of day polling to collect the PLU Stock was correct and would not give
this error)

Corrected an error in the command that is sent to collect the Cashier sales from the Flash Reports
menu. This caused both the Daily and the Period to Date totals to be reported. (The command that was
in the end of day polling to collect the Cashier report was correct and would not give this error)

A570

Corrected an error when sending the PLU Stock when the register is set as a Stand Alone. An
additional command to issue a Clear Stock for satellite registers was made, which is not supported in
Stand Alone mode. However, the stock values were correctly sent to the register.

UP600

Corrected an omission with the ASCII export for the Customer Sales ASCII Export file. When the
Customer Learning function is enabled at the register, customers that were entered at the register and
were not brought into SKAN_Talk database did not get exported in the ASCII file.

Also corrected the ASCII export due to a condition that potentially allowed for duplicate records to
appear.

Also changed the ASCII export for the Customer Sales History so that the reports have quotation marks
as text qualifiers. Without this, whenever a comma appeared as part of a customer name or address, it
would cause a problem with the comma delimited ASCII file when being read by another application.

UP600

Corrected an error with the UPC X/Z pickup Flash report not working properly if there was more than
one register configured in a store.

Added the ability to poll the A550 in Stand Alone mode. Previously, it was a requirement that the
register be configured for IRC. Since the register does not come with built in IRC support, this
eliminated support for many potential users

In the department editor, if a department is set as a Gas type, a check is done on the 904D service
parameter to see if the gas department uses 2 or 3 decimal places ($0.00 or $0.000) then displays the
price appropriately.

ALL

Changed the "Send Changes" function in User mode so that registers in Stand Alone mode have
changes sent to all registers. Previously, the changes were only sent to the first register and to send
the changes to all registers in the store required running the end of day polling.

A530

Corrects an error when creating multiple registers within a store that communicates to an A530. The
communications would only talk to the lowest register number during store initialization and polling.

A530, A570, UP600

Changed the "Merge" functionality Dynamic UPC editor. The merge now merges the dynamic with the
main file and sends the updates and deletes all in one pass. When the dynamic UPC merge function
was used for a store that was connected via mode, it took 3 dial ups to fully complete.

ALL Standalone
Models

On the Standalone only model registers, the secret codes are actually located in the Optional Register
Programming table, but for consistency with other models, SKAN_Talk unified their placement by
allowing them to be edited in the Secret Code editor.

ALL		Changed the Grand Totals ASCII Export so that it exports the individual register totals if the registers are polled by terminal. Previously, it only exported data if the system was polled as a consolidated system.


ALL		Changed the PLU stock report to show any pending changes to the stock quantities as well a use the pending changes stock counter rather than the current register's counter to determine whether the "Restock" flag appears in the report.


UP600		Added an auto update function for the "Last purchased On" field in the Customer Preset editor and Customer Preset Printout. Every time the end of day polling is successful, the most recent transaction date for each customer is updated from the sales file and updated in the preset file. (This only occurs if the program option to capture Sales Detail is set in the Optional Register Programming editor.) Previously, this information would only be current if a store initialization was done.


ALL		Changed the Department Report so that the various department sales types (Normal, Hash, Bottle Return and Gas) each have their own subtotal


ALL		Included the polling job to collect the consolidated Grant Totals too when polling by individual terminal on an IRC system. Previously, only the individual terminal totals were polled when polling by terminal.

A420U		Corrected an error when open the keyboard editor on the A410U. It was opening the keyboard editor for the A420U and showing the keyboard with 120 keys instead of 82.


ALL		Corrects an error in the reports menu where occasionally after running a report where additional options from the report parameters filter list were selected, after selecting another report to run, it would run a different report than the report that was selected.


UP600		Corrected an error where the Customer Preset editor would only allow entry of an 8 digit number instead of a 13 digit number.


ALL		Corrects an error in the Dealer Work Station version of SKAN_Talk in the Presto Programmer when selecting a range of PLUs higher than the number of PLUs that was allocated. Only the highest number PLU was being looked at to determine whether the range could be imported rather than the total number of records that was to be imported.


A530		Added the "Price Shift" option field to the PLU/UPC editor. This field was omitted in the BETA release version for this model


A530		The Promotion PLU editor (Set PLU) previously allowed 25 PLUs to be entered into it, instead of the 10 that the register supports.

	SKAN_Talk additions and revisions


ALL		Made a change in the Transmit Changes function dealing with items that are pending deletion. If the command that is sent to the register that issues the delete commands is successful, the finalization of the deletions is made immediately in the database rather than after the entire job, including any other changes or deletes that were pending, completes successfully.


UP3300, UP3301		Added the ability to import and use the color assignments that already exist in the department editor for each department number in the Custom Keyboard Color Schema.


ALL		Added the ability to click on a color in the Custom Keyboard Color Schema editor and save the color to the palette. Any key in the editor will change to that color when clicked until a new color is selected.


ALL		Added the ability to select a PLU range, PLU Price or description level and/or filter out zero priced PLUs when running the PLU printout


ALL		Enhanced the Department, PLU, UPC and Dynamic UPC printouts to add additional fields and improve the readability of the report.

ALL		Added the ability to create a customized coloring scheme for the PLUs by their department link in the virtual keyboard. A color schema can be developed for each department and all PLUs that are associated with the corresponding department will have the keys updated to the selected colors.

A750E, A770, UP3300, UP3301, UP600		Corrected an error when the condiment table editor was opened from within the PLU editor then the right click function to edit the PLU in the condiment table was invoked. Since the PLU editor was already open, it caused an error and this function is now inhibited.


A420U		Corrected an error in the department editor where the files allocations for the departments might not be displayed properly the first time the program data is collected from the register.


ALL		Corrected an error in the Period Reports where the automatic date variables for Last Month and Last Quarter did not include the last day of the month for months that have 31 days in it.


ALL		Corrected an error in the virtual keyboard when the hiding of the default PLU names is enabled (PLUs with descriptions that begin with PL00) Under some circumstances, one or more PLUs next to the PLU with the default description would also have the text not printed on the keyboard template.


ALL		Change the PLU editor so that it is forced to order the PLUs in consecutive order. Occasionally, the PLUs would appear in a random order.


ALL		Corrected an error in that Auto Key editor that was introduced in the 3/4/2004 release. Some of the codes that were written to the database that indicated which key to use was in lower case instead of upper case letters and it caused that auto key to not function properly at the register.

A420		Corrected an error while opening the Stack Report editor on the A420 that was introduced when adding support for the A420U in the 3/4/04 release


ALL		Corrected an error in the Presto Programmer on the Dealer Work Station version of SKAN_Talk that was caused when importing from a program worksheet that has PLU or Department descriptions that are more than 16 characters. It now truncates the description after the 16th character.


A750E, A770, UP3300, UP3301, UP600		Corrected an error in the virtual keyboard when displaying PLU menus. If the PLU menu file has non-consecutive numbers (I.e. 1,2,5) the keyboard editor would give an error when hovering the mouse PLU menu number keys that were greater than the number of the first non-consecutive PLU Menu number.

	SKAN_Talk additions and revisions


A420, A450, A470, A570, A750E, A770, UP600		In the virtual keyboards prior to the 3/17/04 release, it was possible to have an error in a database table where duplicate entries for function keys could exist. After the update was run, the error was then detected and gave a warning message while entering the keyboard editor. A job was added that gives the ability to manually purge the affected database table for the selected store so the function text can be rebuilt the next time the keyboard is opened.

ALL		Corrects an intermittent error on the Flash Reports where the report window would launch before the report was finished generating and as a result, the report would show up as empty. This error generally showed up on stores with large UPC or TLOG sales files

Users updating from previous versions must go to the "Edit Polling" section in setup and Polling and Reports options to enables these reports for polling.


A420U, A450, A530, UP600		Adds the capability to use a keyboard wedge UPC scanner in the UPC stock editor to find specific UPCs.


ALL		Added the ability to exempt $0.00 priced PLU/UPCs from being updated when using the group/multiple price change editor.


ALL		Changed the max. amount of characters that can be used on the keys in the virtual keyboard from 24 to 40 characters.


UP600		Modified the Customer Summary report so that it runs when the register is set to capture Summary totals only. Previously, this report only functioned when the TLOG polling was active for the store. The posting date of the data is used instead of the individual transaction date.


A750E, A770, UP3300, UP3301		Added the ability to include the Employee Time Keeping to the end of day polling. Previously, it was only available for polling on demand and separate from the daily polling.
