Introduction : Features : Reports : Screen Shots

If you’ve ever wished your cash register could reproduce a misplaced report, or wished you could get a consolidated yearly or quarterly report on a regular sized piece of paper to hand to your accountant, you are going to love the reporting capabilities of SKAN_Talk32!

Flash Reports lets management take mid-day reports from the PC for those times you just can’t wait until the
end of the day.

BLTlog.jpg (23169 bytes) The Daily & Periodic Reporting has a list of common reports to select from, but with the power to let you build your own, and the flexibility to choose any day or date range that you want.  No more transposed numbers or late reports!  Scheduled unattended polling can occur any time that you designate to give you the freedom you’ve been longing for.

T-Log Viewer electronically archives the Transaction -Log (T-Log) for paperless storage, as well as provides access for scroll through viewing or selective printing.  Save on supplies and printers, and get organized at the same time!  Eliminates those dusty boxes stuffed with year’s worth of rolled journal tapes.

The handy T-Log Sort-N-Report sorts and filters the T-Log for specific auditing searches.  For example, search for all transactions that that were rung up by Cashier # 1 that contain voids.  Or instantly locate the transaction that sold the $125.00 bottle of wine for $12.50, and find out who over-rode the price.  You’ll think of lots of uses for this terrific feature!

SKAN_Talk32 even makes opening and closing the store's more convenient.  Do it right from your PC at home over a modem if you want.

Open Stores sends the command to open the store in all profit centers.

Close Stores checks the store status (including server/cashier log off) prior to sending the close store command.

Fix Close Fail helps determine why the store didn’t close in a failed polling attempt and allows the polling to restart from the point of failure.

Multiple Profit Centers tracks sales by individual profit centers within a single site. Perfect for food courts, cafeterias with co-branded kiosks, or anywhere that accounting needs separate totals for royalties or other purposes.

If you use the Color Video Monitors (CVM) system with your Sharp registers, then you are going to wonder how you ever got by without the CVM Assistant.  The CVM Assistant makes routing the items to the correct monitors as easy as selecting the desired monitors by their user defined names.  Just click on each monitor location you want the item to appear on.

You can select the on-screen text color of modifiers (cooking instructions, condiments, extras, deletes, etc.) just as easily.  And, SKAN_Talk32 will automatically calculate the CVM attributes in the POS program.

With Manager’s Work Station, (MWS) the POS can automatically transmit its Transaction Log (T-Log) data in many small increments through out the day to the PC via a high-speed, interactive link.  MWS does not function as a server, so the system can provide near real-time information without the threat of losing all POS functions -- as does happen when a Server Based System goes down.  During PC down times, or in the event of a loss of connection to the PC, the data is held at the POS until it can be retrieved safely; leaving the POS system fully functional and the data intact.   The MWS’ high-speed link to the POS is sixty times faster than current communications speed through the standard serial port.  With MWS, the maximum distance between the PC and the POS can be lengthened from 100 feet for serial communications, to 3280 feet!  Great for back offices way in the back.

Due to continuous updating of the T-Log information, that data can be viewed on the PC without interrupting the POS operations. Sort-N-Report can be used with the MWS to filter the transactions for the current day.  There’s no need to wait until the end of the day to get the T-Log information that you need now.  Traveling or absentee managers/owners could keep an eye on the current day's activity from a remote location by utilizing any of the popular PC to PC communications packages, such as PC AnyWhere on a notebook with a modem.

Note: MWS requires the installation of Sharp’s MWS board into an on site PC.
