File EditorFILE & PRICE PROGRAMMING: The Skan_talk files editor is a comprehensive editing utility that aids dealer and end user programming. The software enables programming with All current Sharp models! (Check Here to see a list of which models are included at this time.) at the PC anytime during the day in a much-simplified manner than directly at the register. There is no more waiting around for the register to become free or waiting until after the store is closed to do file maintenance. The modified file is generally held until after the register is Z'd out, and then it sends the updates to the registers. If desired, the changes can be sent down immediately from the communications menu.
Right click functionality of most keys in the virtual keyboard that take you directly to the program options most relevant for that key. Change pricing for multiple PLUs at the same times based off department link, PLU Group, Price level or by a range of PLUs/UPCs. Price changes can be increased or decreased by a a specific dollar amount or percentage or change the prices based on a target profit margin. 750 PLU Editor
Skan_talk has file editors for the departments, condiment tables, employees, ingredients, jobs & locations, Link PLUs, Logos, PLUs, Pop up menus, recipes, servers, set PLUs and tax tables. When the initialization is run to import all the data from the cash register into the database, Skan_talk reads the files allocation of the register into a Files Minder table. This feature checks the allocation, and will only allow for editing of of those fields that are valid. If you only have 200 PLUs with one price level and one text level and 16 characters, it will only allow for those fields in the editor to be filled out. If only 8 characters are allocated, the editor will only allow for 8 characters to be entered. The other fields will be grayed out. At the top of the editor, it will display how many files are allocated and how many are used. It limits the addition of records to any file to that which was allocated at the register will not let you go over the allocated amount. At a glance, the user can see how the register is configured.
3300 PLU Editor
The files editor also visually displays what any linked items are. On the PLU Popup Menu editor for example, it doesn't just give the PLU number of the PLU in the table. It shows the PLU Popup Menu 1 is the Drinks menu, and shows the PLU description for all of the PLU's in that table. It takes all of the guesswork and crosschecking out of it.
